The Thule 501 Insta-Gater Bike Rack is a pick-up truck bed bike rack that quickly loads bicycles upright without having to take any wheels off. Mounts between tailgate and truck pickup bed with no adjustments necessary. - Installation of the 501 Thule InstaGator in the truckbed is done by simply opening the tailgate, setting the bike rack on the bed with the Insta-Gater gate anchor between the tailgate and the bed, and closing the tailgate. The ratcheting straps easily secure the bicycle carrier in place, there are absolutely no other adjustments that you need to mess around with.
- We recommend securing your bike inside the 501 Insta-Gator using a Thule lock cylinder (not included; see accessories below).
